When it comes to your trailer hitch, it’s important you get that kind of promise. A guarantee. A hitch you can rely on. B&W doesn’t compromise and neither should you. That’s why they offer a lifetime warranty on all of their products, and they commit themselves to purchasing only U.S.-made steel that is shaped into safe and durable American products.
Tekonsha Engineering opened its doors in 1963 and at that time manufactured wooden steps for the Mobile Home Industry. In the mid 1960’s they started manufacturing hydraulic brake controls (2014 & 2015). When the 70’s came Tekonsha Engineering made a major break through, they were the first to break new ground with an electronic brake control (the sway control and the 2040). These units changed the company forever. They went on to manufacture the 2016 & 2017, which are hydraulic controls, and the 2030 & 2035, electronic controls.
Ride-Rite was established in the early 1970’s. Initially, Ride-Rite air helper springs were designed for Class A Motorhomes as the continuous load caused the leaf springs to fatigue very quickly. By offering an adjustable air spring, motorhome owners realized the ability to compensate for extra load and side-to-side pressure adjustment.
In the early 1990’s, Firestone vastly expanded its line of Ride-Rite air helper springs to include most pick-up and van applications. Today, they fit passenger cars, SUVs, Pick-Ups, Vans, Cab & chassis and of course Class A,B & C motorhomes.
Post-war automotive fascination meant that families were crisscrossing the country in their cars, usually loaded down with kids and luggage—causing the springs to sag badly. In 1949, Air Lift Company set out to build a suspension that would not only help support an overloaded vehicle, but would also improve ride quality and safety…a state of mind that Air Lift still adheres to today.
As pickup trucks and SUV’s started to become a more mainstream mode of transportation, Air Lift began developing load support kits to assist with towing and hauling. No longer was towing your trailer like riding a rickety rollercoaster; Air Lift’s revolutionary air springs allowed you to level your vehicle and tow with safety and confidence. Today, Air Lift Company is a leader in manufacturing load leveling air bag kits that not only improve safety, but also ride quality.
